Thanks for the podcast. Good info on the depth of the tam. But it got awkward at times especially the countless tweet references.

what's the story with Thatcher Demko? how good is this guy really? is he as good as Zach Fucale?

Demko is a great goalie with big game and international experience. He's big and athletic, but plays a controlled, positional game and likes to challenge shooters. He's very calm in net and the guys have a lot of confidence in him to clean up any defensive mistakes. He's very consistent and, as we said in the podcast, holds a very slight advantage to be the starter for Team USA.

Slimmer than slim. Competition is far too tough up front to hold a spot for him.

Hey Julia! Just a question from a Flames fan & I do follow Flames US college prospects. I noticed that Gilles has been playing some pretty good goaltending as of late & wonder why he wasn't considered in the mix for goalies on this US team? Is he ineligible for any reason? Just curious. Word is he will be signing a pro contract at the end of this year & probably be getting his pro career launched in Addy.
